The purpose of the programme "2040" is to organise preparatory meetings with stakeholders in order to prepare for and conduct the conference Cyprus Forum: Cities, which is an important policy-making event focusing on issues related to local governance.

This conference aims to enhance citizen participation, particularly among the youth, by providing them with the opportunity to engage with politicians, technocrats, and academics. Through these interactions, participants can be informed about a variety of topics that concern them, such as urban development strategies, sustainability, participatory governance, and new technologies in local administration.

The "2040" programme seeks to create a framework for dialogue and collaboration among various stakeholders in order to develop innovative proposals and solutions to the challenges faced by local governance. The preparatory meetings will serve as a forum for exchanging ideas and best practices, thereby strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.
