The State of the Republic (formerly known as the State of the State) was held for the first time in March 2019 by Oxygono in collaboration with the University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Youth Organization and was hosted by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiades. This event is inspired by the State of the Union held in the USA. A similar institution exists in the European Union. The State of the Republic is held annually and it hosts the current President of the Republic of Cyprus and analyzes the work he performed last year and his vision for the rest of his term.
